the bgv16 are way better in my opinion. The length of my hand is 7inches. Hand placement is perfect with bgv16 and it’s out of place and slides down with bgv1. Also more compact padding and knuckle protection with a grip bar.

I always worry when landing on my knee with Ouchi gari. Very awkward with real bodyweight. Still use it a lot as it's hard to defend against.

Fairtex makes high quality gloves I actually own the Fairtex Bgv1. For protection for the wrist the BGV1 are not the best It hurts my knuckles everytime I hit the bag. Quality is excellect but not for hand protection I rather get gloves that have thicker padding on the knuckles. Some that have great protection are the Outslayer ON1 for boxing not the Muay Thai ones they sell.
